It all starts with a chat over the phone where you can interview me and tell me about your home, your project, what you desire and envision. We can discuss my qualifications for your specific situation and see if we would like to work together. I am currently available to work with clients Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Once we have decided to work together then we can explore which service is best for your needs from the options below. |
Needs Assessment & Plan: |

For someone who has time but is not sure how to start, this service usually takes 2 to 3 hours, depending on the size of the home. Together we will walk through your whole home and discuss what works and, more importantly, what doesn't. Then we can determine your priorities and focus on your personal goals and vision for your space. I will then share suggest a personalized solution for your unique circumstances. You will get lots of fresh ideas, new perspectives, and advice on resources and places to purchase items. I will leave you with a detailed, prioritized "plan of attack". As appropriate my suggestions might include sketches, furniture placement, floor plans, measurements, ideas for new routines and specific storage solutions, ideas for new routines and time management systems, etc…whatever it takes so you can confidently start to Simplify You! This complete in-depth home assessment also comes with a complimentary one-hour phone or e-mail follow-up. This additional help is particularly useful if you are planning to make my suggested improvements on your own but have more questions or need more advice. Hands-On Organizing: |

This is where we work together to achieve the results you desire. We purge, plan, prioritize, and perfect the area question. My job is to use my professional skills to present ideal solutions for you, and to keep us on track and make this a fun, fast, and effective project. Or, if you prefer, I can do a "magic wand" solution for you. After we have clearly defined your goals, I can analyze, sort and present you with groups of items awaiting your final decision. There is a three hour minimum for hands-on appointments, so that we’ll have enough time to really get a project completed. |
Maintenance: |

We can schedule flexible on site maintenance sessions to maintain and perfect the systems that we have developed. Clients will often ask for a seasonal “tune-up” to ensure that their efforts are as streamlined as possible. Alternatively, if you want to preserve the progress and just need a little extra motivation, inexpensive phone coaching may be the perfect solution. |

I can customize your talk presentation to suit your specific group, tailoring information and interactive exercises to the group's needs and desires. Frequently requested topics are described below; various titles that I can present are below or I can create a fresh topic for your unique group. My "Lunch and Learn" topics can be as short as 15 minutes, or presentations can be last an hour or longer. Extensive handouts are given at all my events. Home parties are also wonderful ways to celebrate special occasions, organizing is a great theme for baby showers, birthday parties or book clubs. Supply Shopping: |

Often once we have started a project, often the perfect containers or storage solutions will need to be purchased. You are welcome to use my advice and various links to purchase these items but my busy clients often find it is easiest to have me do this shopping for you. I charge an hourly rate (fixed at ten minute increments) this has proven to be an economical approach as I am usually shopping for more than one client at a time. If I am shopping at the Container Store, I receive a 10% professional discount and will pass this savings on to you. I do not mark up the items I purchase and, I only charge you for the actual items used. Any returns are done at no charge to the client as well. |

References - I am happy to provide references to you on request via email. Referral Policy - When you make a personal referral that results in a new client for Simplify You, you will receive, with my thanks, a one-hour service credit for your next appointment. Payment Policy - Please have a check made payable to "Simplify You," ready for payment in full at the end of each daily work session. Any returned check will be charged a $30 service fee. Cancellation Policy - Please note that 48 hours' notice is required to change/cancel an appointment or a 2 hour service fee will be charged. Please make this cancellation by phone to ensure that I am informed in a timely manner. Client Credit Policy - In the unusual event that I need to change/cancel an appointment with less than 24 hours notice, I will happily give YOU a 2 hour service credit for future use. Complimentary Products - It is my policy to provide you at no charge the basic "tools of the trade", which I carry in my tool kit (for example label tape, contractor’s bags, garbage bags, duct tape, etc.). I often bring other products in anticipation to help efficiently complete your project, such as containers, turntables, etc. You will be charged only for the products that are used in your home, and only at their current selling price plus 5% Virginia sales tax. There is no mark-up on any products you choose to use. Photograph Promise - Simplify You, occasionally uses photos of projects for demonstration or media purposes. I promise you that if I use a photo of your project, you will remain anonymous and your identity will remain confidential. Photographs of your home, office, or event may be used in such media as the Simplify You portfolio, website, or promotional materials, subject to any written restrictions on use made by the client. |
