Kitchens and Pantries:

Kitchen:

Kitchen - Before   Kitchen - After   Kitchen - Detail

Before:  Too many things on counter close the stove is a fire hazard. So many things posted on cabinets becomes "visual noise" and distracting. The cleaning supplies stored high on cabinets tops are also a danger.

After:  Counters are cleared so that meals can be made easily. Cabinets are purged and reorganized to hold majority of items, especially cleaning. Only light items are stored on tops and papers are sorted and moved to inside of cabinet doors.

Detail:  A kitchen "command center" is created for the busy Mom to keep track of incoming papers and her large family calendar. Meals are had in the dining room.

Countertop:

Countertop - Before   Countertop - After   Countertop - Detail

Before:  Bills, catalogs and coupons occupy valuable counter space, and items-to-be-returned to stores mingle with mail waiting to be opened. Where can you sit and enjoy a meal?

After:  A vertical and portable "Action" file is sorted into a few essential labeled categories and items-to-be-returned are put in to a "transition" are out of sight or straight into the trunk of the car.

Detail:  We created a coupon holder that can "live" in the car where it is most often needed.

Pantry:

Pantry - Before   Pantry - After   Pantry - Detail

Before:  Finding ingredients to make a meal is a major challenge with this pantry; items are haphazardly tossed on shelves, and lower items are impossible to access.

After:  Once we tossed outdated and unused items, turntables made finding important items as easy as a flick of a finger. Grouping boxes and creating bins for various stock is a perfect solution!

Detail:  In this you can see that all like items are boldly labeled and zoned - all cereals, breads and breakfast items are together.
